Ingredients

  • 300g oats
  • 100g - 150g mixed chopped nuts; I used a mix of almonds and hazelnuts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 80g browned butter, melted and cooled
  • 150g maple syrup
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180
  2. Mix oats, nuts, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl
  3. Stir together all the wet ingredients then mix into the oat mixture
  4. Spread onto a prepared baking tray
  5. Bake for 10 minutes at 180 then reduce oven to 150 and bake another 10 minutes until golden
  6. Let cool and break apart.
