By now, you would have realised how much I love peanut butter and chocolate. So it was only a matter of time before I made peanut butter brownies. Fudgy chocolatey brownies with hints of nutty peanut and soft chunks of chocolate chips throughout with a peanut butter chocolate topping with crunchy roasted peanuts.
There’s just something amazing when you combine peanut butter and chocolate. The two complement each other so perfectly. What makes this recipe even better it’s so quick to prepare and bake. Which means you can have peanut butter brownies pretty much anytime. Adding the peanut butter not only gives an extra kick of flavour but makes the texture even extra soft and moist.
These peanut butter brownies are an utterly delicious dessert and sweet treat. They’re super quick to make so you can always have some ready for a quick delicious treat.

Ingredients
- 150g butter
- 130g dark chocolate
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
For the topping:
- 1/3 cup chocolate
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 1/4 cup chopped roasted peanuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line a square baking pan.
- Melt the butter and chocolate in a saucepan on low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar and peanut butter.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Sift in the dry ingredients and mix until everything is combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour into the pan, and bake for 15-25 mins, until just set.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes then completely on a wire rack.
For the topping:
- Melt together chocolate and peanut butter until smooth.
- Stir in as much chopped peanuts as desired.
- Spread on top of the cooled brownie and pop in the fridge until set. Then cut into your desired size to serve.
